OAS-7 : Midi Record Problem

There is evidence of a possible problem with Midi Record. It manifests itself as a faltering of the rhythm and incorrect sounds being inserted. In the Sequencer there is a plethora of Program Changes at the start of the Event List, before the correctly chosen sound appears.
Before I contact Wersi about this, I should like to have more information about the problem.

If anyone can repeat these effects and/or possibly shed some more light on them, please e-mail me (e-mail address is on the website Contact page) or add a comment here.

Thank you.

Pre-OAS Instruments - Atlantis Manual Page Missing

I have recently acquired an Atlantis SN3. There was a manual with the organ, but as I worked my way through the various parts of the User's Guide Part 2, I find that pages 6 and 7, one page, is missing. It happens to be a critical page describing the programming. Previous owner doesn't have it.

Can anyone help, please?

Pegasus Floppy Drive Needed

Does anyone know where I can purchase a floppy drive for my Pegasus keyboard?
The floppy does not work even after I cleaned it. The Pegasus was purchased in 1993.
It has a small board (approx. 1" square) that contains pins with jumpers in certain locations. I believe that this makes the floppy drive a special edition and not the normal.
I am in need on it because without my discs are unusable. Thanks for any help you can give me.

PC Board for DX400S

Club member Brian Foss is seeking a replacement pedal PC Board for his self-built DX400S. He has repaired/bypassed/updated the original board so many times it looks like Clapham Junction on a bad day! If anyone can help in this regard please place a comment to this Thread.

OAS-7.1 : Revision 37 Observation

I've just installed R37. The Style accompaniments are sounding different but that could just be my memory!

Can anyone who has installed R37 please check User Total Preset 1801? I found some very strange Midi-files were placed there in the ACC slot. The organ didn't recognise the "default" one which came up and selecting one other caused an error message saying a .exe file had to close down (I was so taken aback I failed to note the name of that file). After all that the Style Player stopped working and I had to reload OAS. I then deleted the TP I had in that slot to avoid a repetition.

I'm now checking for any other "peculiarities".

OAS-7.1 : Revision 36 Thread

Has anyone noticed an increase in volume of the Styles (OAA activated) with Revision 36 or am I imagining it? The new Rhythm Designer seems relatively quiet in comparison and achieving a balance when both the RD and a Style are playing together is proving very difficult.

Using the RD alone with the sounds is OK, though the RD sounds could do with being a little louder on the basis that it's easy to reduce the volume but not so easy to increase it. It's the Styles sounds which are overpowering everything. Reducing the volume of all the Styles parts also reduces the volume of the RD sounds which is counter-productive.

OAS-7.1 : Updating from a pre-R30 Revision

Club member Les Horrell has recently attempted to update his OAS-7.1 to R35. He is still on R01. After loading CD1 the organ restarted OAS without requesting CD2 be inserted. There was an on-screen warning that, depending upon the current software, CD2 of R30 may be needed. As a result, Les is unable to load CDs 2 or 3.

Revision 30 was the first to require 3 x CDs or 1 x DVD. It would appear that Revision contained some code to enable subsequent revisions also requiring the extra discs to install properly while previous Revisions assume an attempt to update requires only one disc.

I've suggested to Les that he contacts Wersi with this problem. Does anyone else know anything about this or have any alternative suggestions. Les has tried going the Windows route but that has not proved successful as CD2 of R35 wasn't recognised.

CD Extra Information Request

New Club Member from Florida, William Bass, has requested information about the CD Extra organ.

Anybody you know who owns a CD Extra and lives close by? I'm in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
Mine is an older Wersi from the mid nineties, and CD Extra is what it says above the center display.

If any Club Member can help with information about this organ please add a comment to this posting to that effect.

Performer/Pegasus Styles

Hi all,

I have bought from Paul Miller in the UK the Wersi styles for Performer/Pegasus/... (including the corresponding Thomas organs like Floridian). I like the styles, but... for many of them I didn't succeed in finding the corresponding song. They sound familiar but even with the 8 characters filename, I cannot find the name of the song and/or the artist.

Anybody at this forum having these styles and willing to exchange some thoughts on how to use more of them? I would like to couple the filename to song/artist. That's all.

With regards,
Henry Kompagnie,
Bergentheim,
The Netherlands

PS: I'm not willing to share them; go to the website of Paul if you are interested.
